La Gran Josefina y la desaparición de la abuelita Rosita
Ideal to recap many of the themes and grammar points of KS3, this series of ten PowerPoint lessons tells the story of the investigation of the disappearance of La Abuelita Rosita. Full of fun tasks, comics, animations, video clips and colourful worksheets. Tested on Year 7, 9 and 11 classes. Inject some fun into your curriculum!
On the topic of Spanish television programmes, this activity includes a link to an interactive ranking activity and a script for the teacher to read.
Students listen to the teacher tell them about their most and least favourite programmes and make notes. Then one student comes to the board and ranks the shows in the correct order. Students will be shown which ones are correct and can try again if need be.
This pack contains an extended Spanish text about a holiday in Florida, an English translation with the paragraphs in the wrong order to be cut up by the student and arranged into the correct order and an English translation in the correct order to put on the board for students to check their work.
Suitable for any KS3 or 4 class studying the topic of holidays.
Group Talk encourages students to use the language in more casual, conversational settings. Put up a PowerPoint with pictures of various branded snacks, video games, television shows, movies, etc and get the students to use their knowledge of the language along with these crib sheets to engage in debates; expressing their opinions, agreeing and disagreeing with one another.
There are three KS 3 sheets. Level 1 for Year 7, Level 2 for Year 8, Level 3 for Year 9, or can be used most specifically for differentiation within year groups. There is also a higher level, more mature sheet aimed at GCSE students.
Get your students speaking more spontaneously and try not to correct small mistakes!
